NFL Week 2 winners and losers led by Chargers’ alarming faceplant

Week 2 in the NFL couldn't match the opening round of games in either fanfare or fireworks.

It comes as no surprise, of course, that anticipation surrounding the second set of games for every team would be at least a little more muted than the prior week, which broke a months-long wait for action. But Sunday also served as a scaling back of the prolific scoring output that colored Week 1. After the Buffalo Bills and Detroit Lions got things off to a rousing start on Thursday night, there were nearly as many teams held without a touchdown (five) this weekend as there were outfits to cross the 30-point threshold (six).

Yet even as teams continue to feel things out in the early going, the slate featured plenty of noteworthy fallout.
