INGLEWOOD, CA – The Los Angeles Rams paid tribute to reporter Eliana Moreno and pilot George Marciniw with a spot in the SoFi Stadium press box ahead of the Monday Night Football game against the New York Giants on Sept. 21.
\n\nMoreno and Marciniw lost their lives covering a fatal crash involving a L.A. Metro bus and an SUV in Chatsworth, California. The two were in a helicopter for NBC4 when it appeared to have a technical issue and crashed a few blocks away from the initial crash on Sept. 15.
\n\nIt was a single-engine AS350 B2 helicopter operated by Angel City Air, according to the LA Times.
\n\nEdy Gutierrez Mejia, a bystander on the ground, also died as a result of the helicopter crash.
\n\nThe National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is investigating the crash and parts of the wreckage are being moved to a secure facility in Phoenix, according to NBC News. An initial report is not expected for another month.
\n\nA memorial service was held for the pilot and journalist on Sunday, Sept. 20.
