The Chicago Bears are thinning out in the quarterback room.
\n\nBackup quarterback Tyson Bagent has entered concussion protocol, according to NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport. That leaves third string quarterback Case Keenum as Chicago's potential starter come Week 3 vs. the Philadelphia Eagles.
\n\nCaleb Williams exited the Week 2 game vs. the Minnesota Vikings with a non-contact hamstring injury, but reports indicate that the ailment may not be so severe as to keep the team's franchise passer out long-term.
\n\nWilliams, though, will likely miss the upcoming matchup vs. the Eagles as he recovers.
\n\nIt's unclear when Bagent was injured, but the passer was slammed hard to the turf on the final play of the Bears' 9-3 loss to Minnesota in Week 2.
\n\nKeenum last played in the NFL in 2023, playing in two games for the Houston Texans. He has some familiarity with the NFC North, having played with the Minnesota Vikings in 2017 when he was the quarterback of the famed "Minneapolis Miracle" playoff game.
