Seahawks vs. 49ers live updates: Turnovers a major part of crucial NFC West showdown

Welcome to our live coverage of today's massive showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and the Seattle Seahawks. The 49ers lead 21-13 at halftime after scoring three touchdowns off turnovers.

The 49ers' last touchdown of the half occurred just before halftime when Gracen Halton scored after he punched the ball out of George Holani's arm in Seattle's end zone.

Each of the four touchdowns scored during the first half was set up by turnovers. Both of San Francisco's scoring drives began inside Seattle's 20-yard line. The first score followed a Renardo Green interception, and the second score was set up by Fred Warner's strip of Emanuel Wilson in the second quarter.

Brock Purdy parlayed the first turnover into a touchdown pass to Mike Evans early in the first quarter. Christian McCaffrey gave the 49ers their second lead of the half on a short touchdown run following Warner's forced fumble.

Seattle's only score came off a muffed punt by San Francisco's special teams. The Seahawks mounted two other scoring drives that ended with Jason Myers field goals.

The 49ers will play the rest of the game without Dre Greenlaw, who was ejected in the second quarter after he headbutted Ernest Jones…
