Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin have been reunited at last.

The coanchors appeared on the “Today” show broadcast on Monday, Aug. 10, after both had come in and out of Studio 1A in recent weeks.

“Nice to be back home,” Guthrie told Melvin, who had taken time away from the show for vacation. “Glad to have you back; we missed you,” he said.

Guthrie has been on and off of the “Today” broadcast to film another project: hosting NBC’s upcoming Wordle game show.

“It was fun, we had a little game show summer,” Guthrie added, referring to the new gig.

Melvin then joked that “you may not see me again” if he were to win the Powerball drawing on Monday night. “I’m playing tonight; if I hit it, SG [Savannah Guthrie], it was a fine ride while it lasted.”

The pair is also reuniting amid a bit of turmoil following an intruder incident that rocked the morning show earlier this summer. The man, now identified as Andrew Truelove, 41, was quickly taken into custody and charged with felony burglary as a hate crime and felony menacing as a hate crime, according to a Manhattan District Attorney’s complaint obtained by USA TODAY.

As for Guthrie, Aug. 1 marked six months since her 84-year-old mother Nancy Guthrie‘s disappearance. There has been little movement in the case, though authorities assure the investigation remains active.

On July 27, Guthrie shared a “very specific message” to her followers in a video posted to Instagram.

“Our family is in agony. We are in a nightmare that will not end; nothing about our situation has changed,” she said in the minute-long video, before speaking directly to the people who know information about her mother’s whereabouts. “I know that you have tried to do things the right way. So I’m asking you, begging you, to do the right thing now. … I truly believe it is never too late to do the right thing.”
