Halloween started early at agrotourism venue Echo Fields in Westtown, New York.
\n\nFrom President Donald Trump to Chucky, Todd Lyons, the owner of Echo Fields, is pulling face-shaped pumpkins out of the patch. Lyons has been growing pumpkins inside molds of iconic faces since 2024, and this year is no exception.
\n\nLyons' pumpkins have caused quite a commotion on social media, with clips of the custom gourds garnering millions of views and likes on Instagram, including one posted in August 2025 that reached 67 million views.
\n\n"Once the pumpkin fills out the mold, you remove it and get to see the incredible pumpkin faces," Lyons told Storyful.
\n\nLyons added: "It’s an incredible feeling when you get them to completion, because they’re very difficult. Over half of them rot due to improper airflow prior to completion."
\n\nLyons told USA TODAY that the idea for the project came to him after he saw a video of a farmer in Brazil growing watermelons in "basic square molds" while he was scrolling online.
