2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship predictions
One major surprise the model is calling for: Cameron Young, one of the favorites at +2000, barely cracks the top 10. Young was one of the hottest players on tour in the spring, but has largely cooled off in the past several events. Outside of his runner-up finish at the Open Championship, he has just one other top-10 since May 17. He finished fifth in this last year, but otherwise hasn’t cracked the top 30 in three other tries, so the model is fading him as a top win contender. See who else to fade here.
Another surprise: The model is high on Sam Burns at +2000, saying he’s a contender and a string top-5 bet. Burns has been right on the doorstep at some of the biggest events of the year, finishing T7 or better at the Masters, the Memorial, the U.S. Open and the Open Championship. He ranks 12th on tour in the strokes gained: total and third in strokes gained: putting, both metrics that make him a top contender at TPC Southwind this week. See who else to pick here.
