Powerball jackpot hits $190M for Labor Day drawing

One lucky ticket could turn Labor Day into the ultimate payday.

After no one matched all six numbers in Saturday night's drawing, the Powerball jackpot rolled again, pushing the grand prize to an estimated $190 million for the next drawing on Monday, Sept. 7. Winners who choose the lump-sum option could take home an estimated $81.9 million cash payout before taxes.

The jackpot has been growing since a player in Illinois won the $1.04 billion prize on Aug. 12. More than three weeks later, that winner has yet to come forward, while Powerball players across the country now have another shot at joining the game's millionaire club.

The next Powerball drawing is scheduled for Monday, Sept. 7, at approximately 10:59 p.m. ET. USA TODAY will update the story with the winning numbers once posted.

Drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

Powerball tickets cost $2 per play, with players able to add the Power Play feature for an additional cost in participating states and U.S. territories to potentially increase non-jackpot winnings.

The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.
