Whole Foods has recalled more products in connection with an ongoing salmonella outbreak believed to have originated from jalapeños.

The new recall, published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Aug. 12, comes after food distributor Taylor Farms initially recalled a variety of products – including some sold at Whole Foods – on Aug. 9 because of the outbreak.

As of Aug. 10, more than 340 people in 27 states have been sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to jalapeños grown in Sinaloa, Mexico, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Thirty-six people have been hospitalized from their illnesses, but no one has died in the outbreak, according to the agency.

The affected jalapeños were sourced from Coast Citrus Distributors and sent to restaurants in the United States, including Chipotle and Qdoba, which both pulled the ingredient from their stores nationwide, per the CDC.

Salmonella is a foodborne illness that can cause stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting, per the CDC. No illnesses have been reported from the recalled Whole Foods products.

Kristen Orsborn, a spokesperson for Whole Foods Market, said in a statement: “Nothing matters more to us than our customers’ safety. We’ve pulled all recalled products from our shelves. Customers who purchased any of these products from us should throw them away and contact us for a refund.”

The recalled products were sold online and in Whole Foods stores in 12 states.

Anyone who purchased one of the products should not consume it, and discard it. They can also bring a valid receipt to any Whole Foods Market store for a full refund.

Salmonella bacteria, which have many types, are a leading cause of foodborne illness in the United States, according to the agency.

People who get sick from salmonella usually start experiencing symptoms between six hours and six days after infection, according to the agency.

Symptoms, which usually last four to seven days, include watery diarrhea, stomach cramps, headache, nausea, vomiting and loss of appetite.
