Amanda Hirsch apologizes for ‘inappropriate’ Lindsay Clancy Polymarket post

Amanda Hirsch, the host of the "Not Skinny But Not Fat" podcast, apologized on social media after facing backlash to a sponsored post her on Instagram account that touted Polymarket and talked about how its traders were betting on the results of the Lindsay Clancy murder case.

Shortly after the judge declared a mistrial in the case Friday, Hirsch posted a video on Instagram in which she said that "36% of traders think Lindsay Clancy will be convicted of murder." She added that she's been "glued to this case" and is on the edge of her seat. Additionally, the caption read: "On Polymarket it was predicted the verdict would be Not Guilty. Are you surprised? #Polymarketpartner.”

After receiving negative attention for the ad, Hirsch took it down on Sunday, issued a lengthy apology for which she disabled comments on the post. "Posting about the Lindsay Clancy trial in the same breath as a brand partnership was completely insensitive, wrong, and out of character for me — I should have known better, and I feel sick that I didn’t see that in the moment," the statement reads.
