Whataburger is celebrating its 76th anniversary this summer by offering customers a slew of deals throughout the month of August, including a special deal on Saturday, Aug. 8, in honor of National Whataburger Day.

On the day, Whataburger Rewards members can score a Buy One, Get One Whataburger (entrée only) from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time at participating Whataburger restaurants. According to the company’s website, a Whataburger features a 5-inch toasted bun, a 100% beef patty, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, diced raw onions and mustard.

Participating restaurants will celebrate National Whataburger Day with selfie stations, balloons and other festive touches to help customers join the fun, according to the chain.

Customers who haven’t joined Whataburger Rewards yet can download the Whataburger App and create an account before the celebration begins. Offers will automatically appear in the app on their scheduled dates, the company said in a news release.

“Birthdays are meant to be shared, and that’s exactly what we’re doing all month long,” said Whataburger President and CEO Debbie Stroud in the news release. “Whether you’ve been ordering the same Whataburger for years or you’ve been waiting for the perfect excuse to try something new, we’re celebrating the Guests who’ve made the last 76 years so special. Consider these weekly surprises our way of saying thank you.”

Whataburger offers array of 76-cent deals throughout August

In addition to the BOGO Whataburger deal on National Whataburger Day, the burger chain is also offering a different deal every Wednesday throughout August, including:

• Aug. 12: 76-cent 16-ounce Whatafresher, 11 a.m.-8 p.m. local time
• Aug. 19: 76-cent Big Ranch Wrap (entrée only), 11 a.m.-4 p.m. local time
• Aug. 26: 76-cent Signature Chicken Sandwich (entrée only), 5-10 p.m. local time

New location opened after 17-year hiatus

To add to the excitement of the anniversary week, the chain reopened a Whataburger location in the Orlando, Florida, area on Thursday, August 6. It was a highly anticipated opening as this was the first location to be opened in the area since 2009, according to local outlets WESH and WKMG.
