Johnny Fisher made a successful Zuffa Boxing debut with a majority decision win over Michael Pirotton in the main event of Zuffa Boxing 11 on Saturday in Fisher's native England.
\n\nThe action stayed at a high pace throughout 10 rounds of the heavyweight bout, with both men having solid moments, even as both fatigued badly as the fight wore on. That fatigue didn't slow either, even if both men looked as though they'd struggle to raise from their stools between rounds.
\n\nFisher was the more explosive puncher, using upper body movement to slip shots and explode with combinations. When he was able to operate on the front foot, Fisher dominated the action and neutralized Pirotton.
\n\nThe problem for Fisher was that Pirotton was often the man walking forward. When that was the case, Fisher got stuck in neutral, unable to really unload his explosive shots.
\n\nThat balance made for a compelling fight of back-and-forth action.
