Tom Segura breaks silence on ‘horrible’ Christina Pazsitzky divorce

Relationships are a two-way street, and Tom Segura is sharing his side of the story.

The comedian, whose estranged wife Christina Pazsitzky confirmed their split earlier this month, opened up about the former couple’s divorce in a new episode of their joint podcast, “Your Mom’s House,” released Wednesday, Aug. 12. Segura and Pazsitzky, who married in 2008, have cohosted the online series since 2010.

“Your emotions change many times a day,” Segura, 47, said. “You don’t feel the same all the time. It’s really tough on you.”

Pazsitzky, 50, first addressed the news of the pair’s divorce during a solo episode of “Your Mom’s House” on Aug. 5, describing her breakup with Segura as “extremely sad.”

“We have tried to work it out for several, several years for the sake of our children and our family,” Pazsitzky said at the time, although she did not cite the reason for their divorce. “And we gave it all we could, but we just couldn’t work things out.”

Segura echoed the sentiment during Wednesday’s episode, calling his split from Pazsitzky a “horrible experience.” He added that their separation, which took place “many months” ago, has been “emotionally, a rollercoaster.”

“Having it be public is awful,” Segura said. “We wanted it to be private; that’s how we were handling everything. And the day you get a phone call from your publicist going, ‘Hey, TMZ’s gotten wind of this, and they’re going to run a story,’ you’re like, ‘What?'”

During her “Your Mom’s House” episode, Pazsitzky noted she and the “Bad Thoughts” star have “been through a lot together” with their listeners, including “births and deaths, tragic accidents,” her 2024 breast cancer diagnosis and subsequent recovery, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I’m still here, and we will survive,” she said, “like we have gotten through everything else in life. This is just an unfortunate thing, but we’re going to be OK. Tom and I are, just so everybody knows, we are amicable. This is not an ugly divorce. Like, we’re cool, dude.”

Pazsitzky said she and Segura are prioritizing their sons Ellis, born in 2016, and Julian, born in 2018, and praised their “very successful marriage.” She also asked fans to not take sides in the divorce, emphasizing that she and Segura “do not hate each other.” The comedian will continue to appear on their podcast “when he can” between film and television jobs, Pazsitzky noted.

“We’re still going to have a good time,” she said. “So, there you go. It’s out, and I feel free because it’s been some time coming.”
