A Noah Kahan show is forcing Real Salt Lake to cross ‘The Great Divide’ to host its Leagues Cup quarterfinal match against Club León.

Two Liga MX teams, Club América and Toluca, had hosting privileges and will play their contests at neutral sites. Monterrey and León did not, meaning the matches usually would take place at the MLS team’s home venue.

That will be the case for the Chicago Fire, who will welcome Rayados to Seatgeek Stadium in Bridgeview, Illinois on Aug. 25, but RSL’s America First Field is set to host the singer-songwriter that night. RSL will instead call the stadium of its biggest rival, the Colorado Rapids, home for a night, heading to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado for their knockout game.

RSL’s usual venue will have the pitch replaced the next day, something many venues do both after a concert – which can cause damage to the grass – and as the weather changes ahead of the season’s stretch run.

Club América is returning to the Los Angeles area for its game with the Columbus Crew, with the Aug. 26 tilt taking place at Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, usually home to the LA Galaxy.

Toluca had seen significant support in Southern California as well on recent trips for matches like the Campeon de Campeones and in the Concacaf Champions Cup, but the Diablos Rojos will give fans on the East Coast a chance to see them live, playing in Harrison, New Jersey, at the home of the New York Red Bulls.
