American Girl’s 2027 Girl of the Year is here. Meet Daisy Davenport

Calling all soccer-playing, outdoors-loving American Girl fans: Daisy Davenport is here.

American Girl has officially launched its 2027 Girl of the Year, the latest addition to the line, which adds a new doll with a fresh story each year.

Daisy's story centers on her time at Camp Gowonagin, a sleepaway summer camp. A few of her favorite activities include spending time outdoors, playing soccer and playing the guitar, according to a news release.

The launch comes months after American Girl first revealed Daisy's story in May with the release of the accompanying book.

The Girl of the Year collection, which has been running for more than 25 years, is intended to bring relatable stories to life and give voice to a diverse range of backgrounds, according to American Girl and Mattel. Daisy Davenport's release coincides with American Girl's 40th anniversary this year.

Daisy hails from Madison, Wisconsin, becoming American Girl's first character from the state.
