From snacks and produce to eggs and meat, recent recalls are affecting products across every food group.

While a widespread jalapeño recall and linked salmonella outbreak is top of mind for many consumers, other at-risk items could still be lingering in kitchens.

Cyclosporiasis, another foodborne illness that has been making headlines this summer, led to an extensive lettuce recall in July. However, the impacted items had “best if used by dates” as late as early August, so they should be out of fridges by now.

Similarly, more than one million eggs were recalled last month for potential salmonella contamination. Those products had best buy dates through Aug. 17.

Anyone who purchased a recalled food item should discard them. Here’s a look at which food items have been recalled recently.

Jalapeños, guacamole, salsas recalled

Products including various jalapeños, guacamole, salsas and dips have been recalled across dozens of state in connection to an ongoing salmonella outbreak.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention connected the outbreak to jalapeños grown in Sinaloa, Mexico and distributed by Coast Citrus Distributors.

The affected products were sent to restaurants and distributors in the United States, including Chipotle and Qdoba, which have pulled jalapeños from their locations. A slew of grocery stores have also recalled items like guacamole and salsas that may contain jalapeños.

While some of the recalls were initiated at different times, all have been linked to the jalapeño salmonella outbreak. Here’s a full list of products that have been pulled:

• Jalapeños sold at Costco locations in Dallas and Stafford, Texas
  • Produced by Dairyland Produce and repacked by Hardie’s Fresh Foods. Labels may still read “Dairyland Produce.”

  • Production dates: 26192 (07/11/26), 26196 (07/15/26), 26197 (07/16/26), 26199 (07/18/26), and 26203 (07/22/26).

Blueberries, mixed berries sold at Publix recalled

Blueberries and frozen mixed berries sold at Publix locations in eight states were recalled last month after being linked to an E. coli outbreak, per the FDA.

The impacted products are:

• 10-ounce GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries; UPC 41415-06453.
• 48-ounce GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries; UPC 41415-12053.
• 10-ounce GreenWise Organic Whole Mixed Berries; UPC 41415-06753.
• 48-ounce GreenWise Organic Whole Mixed Berries; UPC 41415-12153.

They were sold in the following states:

• Alabama
• Florida
• Georgia
• Kentucky
• North Carolina
• South Caroline
• Tennessee
• Virginia

Raw beef recalled

About 29,628 pounds of raw beef products imported from Argentina were recalled in two states because they entered the United States without undergoing a required inspection, according to the Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

The products were distributed to retailers in Florida and Texas and have use-by or freeze-by dates of Sept. 15-20. They also have Argentinian establishment number “EST. N° OF. 2025” and shipping mark “26644-AA,” per FSIS. See the full list:

Frozen fruit bars recalled

Some Outshine Fruit Bars distributed nationwide have been voluntarily recalled because they may be contaminated with glass, according to a report from the FDA.

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream initiated the recall of multiple flavors of the frozen fruit bars. The impacted batches have best-before dates ranging from June 2027 to November 2027.

Walmart tomato soup recalled

Food manufacturer Kettle Cuisine on Aug. 12 recalled 3,240 tomato soup kits sold at Walmart due to possible listeria contamination, according to a FDA notice.

The Marketside Tomato Bisque Soup kits were sold between June 30 and July 7 in the following states:

Vegan cheddar cheese puffs recalled

Frankie’s Organic, a Canada-based brand, issued a recall on its 4-ounce bag of its Organic Plant-Based Vegan Cheddar Puffs on Aug. 12, per the FDA.

The products may contain undeclared milk products, according to the notice.

They were sold at PCC Markets in Washington State as well as Earth Fare Stores in Florida and South Carolina. They have UPC number 816929000089 and a “best if used by” date of May 16, 2027.

Lidl spice mix recalled

Vitasia Asian Style Wok Spice Mix, a seasoning mix sold at Lidl stores, was recalled on Aug. 12 over potential salmonella contamination, according to a notice from the FDA.

The affected products were sold at Lidl stores in Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Virginia and Washington, DC between July 24 and Aug. 10.

It has UPC No. 4335619355491, Lot# 155846 and a “best by date” of June 2028.

Granola recalled

The Hampton Grocer recalled its granola for lactation support because of potential salmonella contamination, according to an Aug. 14 FDA notice.

The affected products are 8-ounce pouches with the UPC 850035324554. The affected lot codes are:

• Lot HGLC-102125 with expiration date of Oct. 21, 2026
• Lot HGLC-021326 with expiration date of Feb. 13, 2027

Pickled products recalled

Indus Foods, doing business as Gangothri Foods, recalled 1,626 pounds of ready-to-eat pickled goat and chicken products on Aug. 17 because they did not undergo necessary inspections, according to a notice from FSIS.

The recalled pickled products were produced between Jan. 28, 2025, and May 6, 2026, and have a two-year shelf life. They were sold nationwide. See list:
