Chipotle brings back Pollo Asado, introduces new side item

Pollo Asado is back at Chipotle and diners will also soon have a new side item to try the protein with.

The fast casual Mexican restaurant chain announced Aug. 31 Pollo Asado is back for a limited time with an all-new recipe featuring "freshly grilled adobo chicken seasoned with garlic, Mexican spices and hand-cut cilantro" and finished with citrus and lime for a "savory, smoky flavor."

Customers can get the protein at all U.S. and Canada Chipotle restaurants beginning Aug. 31 for a limited time. Pollo Asado was first introduced nationwide in 2022 following a successful test run at 95 locations in Sacramento and Cincinnati in 2021.

To celebrate the return of Pollo Asado, Chipotle is offering free delivery on Pollo Asado orders placed through the Chipotle app and website from Aug. 31 through Sept. 13.

The Chili Lime Chips, on the other hand, will be available exclusively for Chipotle Rewards members beginning Aug. 31 before they become available to all customers on Sept. 4.
