Nicole Fallert here. “Won’t you be my neighbor?”

Can democratic-socialism survive in Florida?

Three democratic socialist candidates in Florida are looking to upset mainstream liberals on Tuesday, when the state holds primaries for House, Senate, governor. The underdogs are running in House and Senate contests with a platform that has already toppled Democratic incumbents this year. And they’ll have to overcome Florida’s recently redrawn Congressional map that favors Republicans.

Also today: Democrats are putting up former Rep. Mary Peltola in Alaska’s nonpartisan Senate primary, in the hopes of ousting Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan; Wyoming holds primaries; and a special election in California to fill former Rep. Eric Swalwell’s seat.
