David Ellison’s threat to move Paramount rattles an already battered Hollywood

Insiders who spoke to NBC News said uprooting the historic studio would be complicated — and the consequences for Hollywood could be enormous.

LOS ANGELES — In a move that alarmed Hollywood and sparked a cry of “blackmail” from his opposition, Paramount Skydance CEO David Ellison has signaled that he is willing to move the studio out of California if that’s what it takes to close his $110 billion deal to buy Warner Bros. Discovery.
