In Colombia, medical staffs scramble to provide care to earthquake survivors as thousands remain missing

With more than 84 hospitals in western Colombia reporting damage, the pressure on the health facilities that remain standing is increasing.

CALI, Colombia — Rescuers are working against the clock to find people who may be buried in the rubble following Monday’s powerful earthquake in western Colombia, which killed at least 241 people and injured thousands. More than 5,000 have been reported missing.
