In-N-Out opened its latest location in St. George, Utah, on Aug. 14, giving Beehive State residents another place to order a Double-Double.

The location seats 160 guests and opened with 40 employees as hiring continues, according to a news release. Starting pay is $17.50 an hour.

It is In-N-Out’s 15th Utah location and its second in the southwestern part of the state. The St. George location is the first store to open following the fatal In-N-Out shooting in Twin Falls, Idaho, on Aug. 1.

Three people were killed in the shooting, which occurred just over a week after the location opened on July 24.

In-N-Out locations ‘opening soon’

The popular burger chain lists the following locations as “opening soon” on its “Grand Openings” webpage.

Matt Loevenguth, In-N-Out’s director of real estate, previously said in an email to USA TODAY that the Commerce, San Tan Valley and Stockton locations are anticipated to open “later this year.”

USA TODAY reached out to In-N-Out for an update.

In-N-Out expansion

The Utah location is the latest opening for In-N-Out Burger as the chain expands beyond its California roots.

The company opened its second-largest location by seating capacity on the Las Vegas Strip on June 9, followed by openings in Timnath, Colorado, on June 25 and Madison, Tennessee, on July 10.

The company previously announced its intention to open a store in New Mexico by 2027.

Eastern expansion appears unlikely, with CEO Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson saying it would not happen “in my lifetime.“

“We won’t compromise on quality just to expand,” Snyder-Ellingson said in March. She also dismissed the idea of online ordering and pickup.
