Labor Day weekend food deals at McDonald’s, Denny’s and more

The three-day Labor Day weekend is an occasion for many restaurants to have deals for dining out – it's your day off, why cook, right?

McDonald's $2 breakfast sandwich deal can be redeemed over the holiday, but the fast-food giant also has travelers covered with a discount on gas at Shell stations. Both deals are available now for members of the MyMcDonald's Rewards loyalty program, through Labor Day weekend and into October.

Rewards members can find a deal for a $2 Breakfast Sandwich in the McDonald's app (choices include the Egg McMuffin, Bacon, Egg & Cheese Biscuit; and Sausage, Egg & Cheese McGriddles), good through Oct. 4. Also in the app, members will find an option to redeem points for 50 cents off per gallon at participating Shell stations. To get the deal, redeem your points by Sept. 12 and you will get a code to use in the Shell app. You must join the Shell Fuel Rewards program (new customers only) and opt into Rewards. The code is good until Oct. 31.
