Sen.-Elect Adam Hamilton told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” that he would be disappointed if Democrats spent two years investigating Trump administration officials.
\n\nDuring an interview on NBC News' "Meet the Press," Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., said he was open to working with Trump to solve cost-of-living issues for Americans, adding that he's "not worried," that the president's new chief of staff could block meaningful work from getting done.
\n\n"I think when Trump looks out in the world, and he sees millions of people working for starvation wages, he might not be unsympathetic to raising the minimum wage to a living wage," Sanders said. "He would love, I think, to take credit for doing what every other major country does: guaranteeing health care to all people."
\n\n"So I’m not worried about Miller," the senator added." Do I think we can work with Trump? Maybe. I’m not by no means guaranteeing it, but it is certainly worth the effort."
\n\nFollowing Democrats' sweeping victories in Tuesday's midterm elections, Trump said he'd be open to working with Democrats in Congress to make deals.
\n\nOn Friday, asked directly where he sees opportunities to work with Democrats, the president told reporters, "I think a lot."
