Palestinians trapped in West Bank settler siege fear ‘catastrophe’ if soldiers withdraw

A Palestinian resident said Israeli soldiers had been staying inside his home as the standoff with Jewish settlers continues, but he fears forces stationed in Qusra are planning to leave.

TEL AVIV — Palestinian families trapped in their homes by Jewish settlers say that the extremist siege goes on despite Israeli pledges to resolve the impasse in the occupied West Bank and an intervention from the U.S. ambassador.
