Patrick Clancy’s new wife calls him ‘most selfless father’

Patrick Clancy and his new wife are speaking out in their first interview since a mistrial was declared in the case against his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy for the killings of their three children.

The couple, Patrick Clancy and Dr. Rachel Danis, will appear on "60 Minutes" on Sunday, Sept. 20, weeks after the high-profile trial ended without a verdict.

Lindsay, 36, was facing murder charges in the 2023 deaths of her and Patrick's three children: Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months. A Massachusetts jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict in the case, and Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on Sept. 4. Prosecutors have not said whether they will retry the case.

Her attorney did not dispute that Lindsay strangled the three children at their Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023. However, he argued she is not guilty by lack of criminal responsibility – also known as an insanity defense – because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

Prosecutors, on the other hand, alleged the former labor and delivery nurse deliberately and cruelly murdered the children.
