Pesticide exposure linked to higher risk of ALS, research finds

Cases of the neurodegenerative disease, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, have risen in the U.S. over the last decade.

People whose jobs expose them to pesticides have about a 60% higher risk of developing the neurodegenerative disease ALS, new research has found.
