Rams’ Puka Nacua suffers unlikely, glass-induced injury at party

Updated Aug. 13, 2026, 4:12 p.m. ET

The hits just keep on coming for Puka Nacua.

It has been an offseason of headlines for the Los Angeles Rams star receiver, and not always for the best reasons. Nacua’s latest chapter now includes an unlikely injury that he explained during an appearance on the “Impaulsive” podcast.

This injury-causing hit wasn’t delivered by a linebacker or a bone-crushing blow courtesy of a safety, however. It was a glass window pane.

Allow Nacua to explain.

As he noted, it was a glass window pane at a party hosted by Fanatics founder Michael Rubin that delivered the hit.

“Uh, the glass window pane won,” Nacua said.

Nacua said he was excited to see Snoop Dogg while talking to Suni Lee, the American Olympic gymnast. He went to find his Rams teammate, Davante Adams, when the receiver got distracted and didn’t notice the freshly cleaned glass.

“They clean the windows really good at Rubin’s house,” Nacua said. “They were perfectly crisp. I’m like, ‘you didn’t see it coming.'”

Podcast host Logan Paul noted that Nacua was bleeding from his face, but he wasn’t the only one that was victimized by the glass at the party.

“They made me feel better when they said three other people ran into it,” Nacua said. “But nobody else ended up bleeding from it. So I don’t know if that made me feel much better or worse.”

Luckily for the Rams star, defenders won’t be dressed up as glass window panes this season, meaning he should be able to see the danger potentially coming his way in the open field.
