The Indiana Fever and Toronto Tempo are headed in opposite directions going into the their matchup on Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
The Fever are 8-2 over their last 10 games and gearing up for the postseason. The Tempo are 0-10 in their 10 and in a significant slump.
Indiana’s Big 3 continue to cook with Kelsey Mitchell averaging 24.2 points, Caitlin Clark 22 points and 8.3 assists and Aliyah Boston 17 points and 8.7 rebounds per game. The Fever are coming off of a 95-91 victory over the Dream on Sunday.
Toronto started the season 7-5 and have won only three games since. Brittney Sykes led the team in minutes and points per game before going down with a knee injury 15 games into the season. She returns on Tuesday. Marina Mabrey is averaging 20.8 points and 3.7 assists for the Tempo.
The two teams play for the second time this season. The Fever beat the Tempo 113-91 on June 16.

Brittney Sykes hit a running layup and was fouled for the Tempo with 4:01 to go in the game. She hit the free throw to bring Toronto within single digits, 90-81.

Indiana guard Kelsey Mitchell has 29 points and has extended her streak of games with 20 or more points to 20 games, tying A’ja Wilson for the most in WNBA history. Caitlin Clark has 18 points, six assists and seven turnovers for the Fever.
The Tempo got within five points of the Fever but could not stop the surging Mitchell, who had 11 points in the quarter.
Marina Mabrey has 15 points to lead four players in double figures for the Tempo.

The Fever’s lead is down to eight at the half after they led by as many as 17. After scoring 16 in the first quarter, Kelsey Mitchell had two more points as she looks to extend her streak of 20 or more points to 20 games. Caitlin Clark has 12 points, two rebounds and five assists.
Brittney Sykes has 12 points in her first game back from a knee injury and former Fever center Temi Fagbenle added 10 points.

Boston found her groove at the midway point of the second quarter and now had eight points, two rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. The Fever hold a 50-38 lead.

The Fever flexed their offensive muscle with Kelsey Mitchell taking charge. The Indiana guard scored 16 points in the first quarter and is on track to keep her 20-point scoring streak alive. Six players have scored for the Fever.

Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell has scored 20 points or more in 19 straight games. She will tie the WNBA record of 20 games with 20 points or more set by Aces star A’ja Wilson Tuesday. She has nine of the Fever’s 22 points in the early going.

Indiana is out to a 12-4 advantage with 6:02 left in the first quarter. Lexie Hull has five points and Kelsey Mitchell four points. Caitlin Clark has added two points, two rebounds and two assits.
