Miss USA 2025 Audrey Eckert takes part in the final competition of the 2025 Miss Universe pageant in Nonthaburi, north of Bangkok, on Nov. 21, 2025.

The CW will no longer air the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants in Miami, the network revealed days before the competitions were set to commence.

Miss Teen USA was scheduled to air on The CW on Wednesday, Aug. 26, followed by Miss USA on Thursday, Aug. 27. Both pageants will now stream on Queen Beauty Network from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. ET on their respective nights.

“After careful consideration and conversations with the Miss USA Organization, The CW Network has decided to forego next week’s broadcasts of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants,” the network said in a statement shared with USA TODAY. “We wish the organization and all of this year’s contestants well in the competition.”

The CW did not explain why the network dropped the competitions.

The network previously aired the pageants in 2023 and 2024 after securing a three-year broadcast deal.

The 2025 pageants aired on Queen Beauty Network instead of The CW following the May 2024 resignations of Miss USA 2023 Noelia Voigt and Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava, whose mothers accused organizers of abuse and bullying. It was the first time the pageants were not televised since 1965.

Miss USA Organization ‘so excited’ to work with Queen Beauty Network

The Miss USA Organization told USA TODAY in a statement Friday, Aug. 21, that it is “so excited” for its ongoing partnership with Queen Beauty Network.

The organization also shared a statement on its Instagram Stories saying it had identified a “contractual issue” with its production arrangements that could not be resolved in time.

“Since then, our team has worked diligently to explore options that would allow us to continue with a live broadcast on The CW. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms for this year’s event,” the statement read. “While The CW will not be carrying a live broadcast of Miss USA this year, we are grateful for our relationship with the network and remain open to opportunities to work together in the future.”

In June, The CW reached a multi-year deal with BDE Miss USA, the company that licenses the pageants, according to Deadline. At the time, The CW’s head of entertainment programming, Heather Olander, said in a statement that the network “is proud to bring premier live event programming to audiences nationwide, and we are thrilled to welcome Miss USA and Miss Teen USA back.”

“These two competitions deliver the spectacle, heart, and aspiration that resonates with viewers across the country, and we are honored to broadcast both, especially as Miss USA marks its historic 75th anniversary,” Olander added.
