The Arizona Cardinals felt they were getting their next star receiver when they drafted Marvin Harrison Jr. at No. 4 overall in the 2024 NFL Draft and now, less than three years later, the team is reportedly moving on. The Cardinals are finalizing a deal to trade the former Ohio State star, ESPN reports.

\n\n

Harrison was reportedly told this morning that he will be inactive for Sunday's game against the Lions as details of the trade are completed. Arizona is looking for a second-round pick or better in exchange for the wide receiver, according to Tom Pelissero.

\n\n

The Harrison experiment certainly didn't go the way either side expected, as 1,000-yard seasons seemed ahead of him and frequent trips to the end zone felt like a guarantee.

\n\n

When Harrison joined the league after such a successful run with the Buckeyes, it didn't take much imagination to envision what the two-time unanimous All-American's NFL career might look like and the future looked hopeful. Thirty-three games later, we're having a very different conversation: Will Harrison be better off playing somewhere other than Arizona?
