Can AI help you hear better? Meet Elehear’s latest OTC hearing aid

Elehear is expanding its over-the-counter hearing aid lineup with the launch of the Beyond 2 Pro, a receiver-in-canal (RIC) hearing aid designed for adults with mild to moderate hearing loss.

Priced at $799, the Beyond 2 Pro builds on the company's previous generation with a more personalized listening experience, a slimmer profile and support for emerging wireless audio technologies.

One of the biggest upgrades is the addition of VOCCLEAR 3.0, Elehear's proprietary speech enhancement technology. According to the company, the AI-powered system delivers up to 24dB of noise reduction and up to 50dB of gain to help users hear conversations more clearly in noisy environments.

Elehear says internal testing found the new system provides a 32% faster feedback suppression response and 39% improved speech clarity in extremely noisy conditions compared with the previous generation. The upgraded audio processing is also designed to improve the experience when making phone calls, listening to podcasts or streaming music.

The Beyond 2 Pro is aimed at adults looking for a hearing aid that balances comfort, customization and convenience. Its over-the-counter availability makes it a potential option for people seeking hearing support without visiting a clinic for a prescription device.
