Democratic socialist Francesca Hong’s razor-thin loss early this morning in Wisconsin’s Democratic primary for governor came despite her 22-percentage-point lead in a poll regarded as one of the state’s most reliable. The more moderate David Crowley, who left the primary and then re-entered with the backing of the incumbent governor, prevailed.
