With Hollywood billboards everywhere you look, Angelenos know it takes a lot for an advertisement to leave an impression, and so Netflix got to work.

The streaming giant understood the assignment with its latest promotional feat, installing a billboard in Los Angeles with a person living inside it.

Promoting the new sci-fi mystery movie “The Last House,” the billboard has easily captured eyes as an unidentified actor sits in an enclosed room 30 feet above the ground at Sunset Boulevard and Selma Avenue, according to Netflix.

“He’ll attempt to maintain a sense of normalcy over extended periods of time while ‘stuck’ in his elevated, enclosed set,” Netflix wrote in a statement. “Communicating with commuters and passersby below via whiteboard as an eerie nod to the family’s own isolation in the film.”

The massive installation displays a home with a fake front door, fake chimney, fake ivy and a very real room where the performer is on full display while the movie’s title and the phrase “How long can you survive” can be seen by drivers and pedestrians.

The streamer posted the billboard on X, sharing a video of the actor inside with the caption “There’s a guy inside.”

What is ‘The Last House’ about?

Netflix’s “The Last House” is a sci-fi horror film starring “The Morning Show” actress Greta Lee and “The Secret Agent” star Wagner Moura.

Directed by Louis Leterrier (Fast X), the movie follows a family of four who are “suddenly sealed inside their home with no way out, and must work together to survive against both their dwindling resources and the mysterious, looming threat that is keeping them trapped.”

In the movie, parents Jason (Moura) and Ann (Lee) must pretend everything is alright for the sake of their young kids, but as the weeks and months drag on indoors, the truth becomes too hard to conceal and impossible decisions must be made.

“I’d get hangry and low blood sugar in – I don’t know – an hour?” Lee recently told USA TODAY while discussing the film. “We talked to actual survivalists, who were teaching us all the methodology behind surviving and it’s unreal. I was like, ‘I am ill-equipped! I’m an actor; I should stay in that zone.'”
